June Faulkner is a local Yorke Peninsula artist who creates basketry from natural and man-made fibres. The ancient art of basketry is a great way to use reclaimed and repurposed fibres creating useful and artistic pieces. She has been working with fibre for over 35 yrs and teaches a variety of woven and stitched basketry basic techniques.
In this GROUNDED Festival workshop, June will guide you through the process of creating your own small hand-stitched bowl or pincushion using natural fibres and thread.
