The Nest on Yorke Peninsula 🎻

The Nest is a music education program delivered by Connecting the Dots in Music. Thanks to Carclew, local and visiting teaching artist will work with students from Warooka and Stansbury Primary Schools over a week long residency. Students will compose music and soundscapes inspired by South Australian Storybook 'The Nest', exploring themes of creativity and welcoming spaces. Join us for a community concert at Warooka Town Hall on the 20th June!

Teachers, and those interested in learning about working creatively with young people, are welcome to the free professional development offering on Tuesday 17th June! 5:30pm - 7:00pm. Please let me know if you're coming along!

Introducing Yorke Peninsula’s newest jam session opportunity for musicians of all ages!

Conceptualised by local musician, John Weekley, The Blanche Street Blues Club is looking for Yorke Peninsula musicians, (and those further abroad who would like to join us) interested in playing and rearranging covers and blues songs.

The Blanche Street Blues Club hopes to grow and support a diverse and talented community of local musicians.

The Blanche Street Blues Club plans to meet monthly at 2pm and is free for all musicians. It’s all about meeting other musicians and enjoying playing music!

John Schumann & the Vagabond Crew in Edithburgh this August.

To mark the opening of the Vietnam War Memorial Walk, John Schumann (ex Redgum, I was only 19) and his six-piece band, The Vagabond Crew, will present “Behind the Lines Australia at War in words and music” at the Light Church Auditorium, on Yorketown Road Edithburgh.
