Sarah Jane Hall is a Narungga artist, speaker, consultant, workshop facilitator and educator. Blending traditional cultural knowledge with contemporary art, her practice reflects a deep passion for creativity and a commitment to honouring and preserving the cultural heritage of her ancestors.
As a multidisciplinary artist, Sarah Jane works with traditional, natural and contemporary materials including timber, kangaroo and possum skins, emu feathers, ochre, charcoal and natural fibres to create traditional artefacts, sculpture, jewellery and paintings. Her work explores culture, story, Country, connection and identity.
Through her art, workshops, speaking and consulting, Sarah Jane creates meaningful opportunities for people to engage with culture through immersive, hands-on experiences, storytelling and creative practice. Her approach is grounded in lived experience, care, respect and cultural knowledge.
With a background spanning education, the arts, mental health, governance and community engagement, Sarah Jane is committed to promoting diverse and intersectional voices, fostering inclusive spaces and supporting positive change.
Sarah Jane has exhibited at Craft Lab, Grounded YP, Tarnanthi, as well as galleries and exhibitions across Australia.
